JUDAS CROW Family father and businessman. He is a grumpy looking, mistrustful guy and in addition a real crybaby. His family is his business, all the members of the Crows work in the funeral home. He is a chauvinist and a heavy smoker, but his worst addiction is karaoke. Each and every weekend he attends the “Puti”, which is known to be the most shabby bar in the whole town, to “sing”. His voice is terrible, but he himself is convinced, that it looks like Louis Armstrong’s. Furthermore he is a racist: “black people are only good for sports and entertainment”, is one of his favorite phrases. Of course as to political issues he is ultra-conservative. At least he is a faithful man “As ugly as I am there is no other choice”.

SOCORRO Married woman and perfect house-wife. She looks after her family, the house and the funeral home. Due to her lacking of friends, she discovered that she gets along quite well with the clients, as to say with the dead, who have become her favorite company. She uses to have long conversation with them and enjoys that the dead never complain and that every week she gets to make new friends.

MATEO 16 years old, Mateo Crow stands in the prime of his life, with the concerns of any other teenager of his age, artistic movies, the environmental crisis, the lecture of classics…Oh, no, no, not Mateo! He’s the kind of guy who spends the whole day thinking of hot chicks and alcohol. He is not the most intelligent fellow, actually he’s more of a moron, but that doesn’t matter, because his future is to inherit the family business. In fact he is already the marketing manager. (He’s also delivering the newspaper in his tuned bicycle.)

IMMA 19 years old, she can’t stand neither her parents, nor her brother, but that’s the way it is. She devotes herself to make-up and clothes, for dead people of course. Inma dreams of becoming a professional make-up artist, and painting the faces of Hollywood stars, and perhaps accidentally making the acquaintance of some millionaire guy. At the moment she conforms herself to being with her boyfriend, the Hippy.

RAGE A stupid and aggressive dog. Her only ambition seems to be banging all the teddy bears she finds.

DEATH He is a gentleman of fine taste, who adores the French cuisine and likes to do “petit point” with Socorro in his spare time; maybe that’s what makes him a bit of a sissy. Death is very religious, although he has no favorite religion, “I just love them all”, he says, laughing out loud. Being considered as just another family member, he lives with the Crows in their home. Since some time ago he considers dying a vulgarity: that’s why he left the dirty job to Judas. Last but not least, he hates zombies, because they make all his work worthless.

HIPPY What to say about this guy? Nothing much, well, besides the fact that he’s stoned all day long and that within the funeral home he’s in charge of the incinerator. According to himself he is studying chemistry at university. Better not to know what he uses to burn his clients.

FREDERICK SCHUMAKER He is the father of Socorro. Since his memory and sense of orientation slowly faded away, he resides in an old people’s home, an illegal one. He thinks, that he has experienced Second World War, but he mistakes his memories with the stories his father, a polish Nazi with Jewish background, had told him once. Frederick has created an army in the residence for the aged to fight against black power.

CRYSTAL LA BELLE The ghost of Frederick’s wife. She appears every day just to bother him. That way she takes revenge on Frederick for keeping her from what she had always wanted to become: A show-girl at the Moulin Rouge in Paris.

MALE NURSE Dedicates himself to organ trafficking at the hospital where he works. He is being called “Mr.Blood”. He is the only friend Judas has and is as well a fanatic of Karaoke and regular customer at the “Puti*”. In fact he is a doctor with career, but as we all know, people nowadays just don’t know anything about medicine and they don’t notice the difference. Being good friends with Death, he enjoys having a coffee with him to exchange experiences.

THE MAYOR It’s been 20 years for him in the town-hall. He left his former job within the circuits of the Mafia, to dedicate himself to “the good of the public” There are no (living) opponents of his position known. He is as well a good client of the “Puti” (he is the owner of the club).

DAMIAN AND FRIENDS He is ten years old, nobody seems to know his name. He comes to the funeral home to help Inma to embalm the clients. In his school he is not very popular, he is a great fan and admirer of Judas and when he’s grown up, he wants to put up a multinational funeral home. He has got a small group of friends, who are all as strange as he is.

POLICE CHIEF Lackey of the Mayor, alcoholic, “skirt chaser”, racist, reconvict. A “great guy and an example of a good cop”.
